The biggest Department of Tourism event for 2007 was held recently. Host to this THREE (3)-day international event was Shoemart via its “new” sprawling mall at Clark. Co-hosted by DOT and NAITAS as headed by its President ANGEL RAMOS BOGNOT, the fair boasted of ONE HUNDRED plus (100+) exhibition booths coming Regions:1,2,3 and CAR with local and international institutions as participants. No less than Sen. DICK GORDON did the honors of formally opening the exhibit who declared the dawning of central Luzon as the new Tourism hub as he gamely hopped from booth to booth. Key DOT officer together with LGUs were present. The whole day opening event started with a parade and motorcade lead by the TBPI/ARTISTSHOP Tourism FIESTA Truck and closed with its cine-cine’s theater-style equipment to the delight of the crowd that started from 7:30pm up to 11:30pm at the front open area of SM Clark, for the duration of the fair. The TBPI/ARTISTSHOP Tourism FIESTA Truck went around Angeles area with cine-cine showing every night.
